The club was formed in 1896, although thought to exist less formally from at least 1876.

Bowling leagues we participate in are The Eccles & District, Salford Ladies, Swinton. Irlam, and The Urmston & District Veterans.

There are two snooker tables available to play on during opening hours, which are 8pm-11pm every day. The club has a function room available for hire, with of course the use of the bar.
